How long until I can expect my tonsillectomy stitches to dissolve?

It's usually recommended to be careful for up to two weeks. Can take that long for the stitches to dissolve. As for talking and eating, just take it easy for now. Keep to soft and easy to get down things. Cold too rather than warm.
