Mouth tattoo Stitches, Would they Hurt?

I'm gonna say yes even though I've never had a tattoo before. I remember hearing from someone else that the closer you are to bone, the more it hurts. In other words all that fat and muscle actually help buffer you from the pressure. Although your mouth is probably more muscly, I think that it would actually hurt a little more than your arm. Faces are pretty sensitive, especially around the mouth, nose, and eyes.
