Are stitches supposed to bleed?

Yes. I would say that you would probably still have some bleeding from where they removed the tissue. It will probably bleed and maybe even ooze a little for 1-3 days. If there is any pus or any inflammation, I would call your doctor immediately because you probably have an infection. Otherwise, you will heal in about a week or so depending on the size of the incision. Also, don't mess with the stitches too much and don't keep taking the bandage off to look at it every few minutes because that increases your risk for infection. Just change the bandage as directed (usually every day and observe changes at that point). I hope you heal up soon! All the best!
