If you are willing to write and send me a sample I can tell you if I personally think that you can pull it off. As far as is it to far "out there". I've just recently read a book that revolves around a character who in a moment of bliss donated his STD killing "member" to science and got a transplat that has interchangeable "members". So as far as out there goes your idea goes it is fairly in there.
