He's shy he was avoiding me cause it was awkward but then...?

The reason why things are awkward is because I liked him but he didn't like like me ,he's really shy so we were avoiding each other,but yesterday in gym I sat out cause I was feeling lazy,I haven't talked him since monday,the whole gym class started to jog around the gym I was sitting in a desk by them,when he was about jog by I reached into boot fir phone,I didn't want to just be looking but he garbs my desk and pulls a little then smiles at me and keeps jogging as if nothing ever happened ,was that flirty move.....cause yea were only fourteen but my grade is more advanced,but he's really shy but why would he do that!!!!!
