Best way to store DVD's, Video Games, Etc.?

I use my grandmother's buffet. I recently asked my husband to saw the top off an entertainment center, the kind you get from Walmart made out of MDF. Now it looks like a bench or flat-screen stand. It doesn't hold as much as the buffet, though.
